Board member, Todd Edwards, is the husband of Suzanne Moye Edwards. Together, they live in Farmville NC, and are the owner/ operators of Todd D. Edwards Construction. They are the parents of Duke Edwards and Camille Edwards. Todd has served, in leadership, on numerous civic, church and local government advisory boards. He is a very active volunteer in his community. All of that pales in comparison to the importance of his service on the Board of Directors of Sonset Ministries (The Refuge). He continues to be humbled that the Lord chose to use him, as one of many, brought to this place, in this time, to help build this ministry. He prays that this place will always be used for one purpose, and one purpose only, and that is to glorify the name of the Lord and his son, Jesus.
Josiah is native of Lexington, Ky and a graduate of Malone University (2004) and Regent University School of Law (2007). He is an attorney in private practice with Perry, Perry & Perry in Kinston. Having lived in 9 different states, Josiah loves the diversity of North Carolina and has put down roots here and now gladly calls it home. Josiah and his wife Lindsay live in Kinston with their 3 young children. They are active at their Church (Grace Fellowship) as well as with community organizations and international missions. Josiah has a passion for the outdoors and introducing kids to outdoor activities where they can interact with nature and embrace God's physical creation in a real and dynamic way.
Dr. David Holder is a pediatrician in Greenville, NC. and is married with 2 children. He attends Grace Fellowship in Kinston, NC.
John is from Greene County and is married with 2 children. He is the owner and operator of JAK Molding & Supply in Walstonburg. He is a member of New Direction Church in Snow Hill.
Jason attends church at Jarvis Memorial UMC and assists with operating the soundboard, lighting, and worship. He also works with Shephard's Helpers at Jarvis, assembling ramps for the disabled. He lives in Winterville, NC with his wife Robin. He is the son of Judy and Joe Melendez who reside in Goldsboro, NC. Jason Graduated from Pitt Community College in 2012 with associate degrees in both Information Systems Security and Networking Technology. He also enjoys spending his spare time as an amateur astrophotographer. The Refuge has a very special meaning to Jason, and he feels that The Refuge is a place blessed by God.
Phil is married and has 2 grown children, he is a member of Shady Grove UMC where he is an active lay speaker. He works with the local Rest Home ministry and is active with the local and state Special Olympics. He owns Moore Brother's Farm and lives in Jones County.
Nathan is the business manager at Pirate Pediatrics, a pediatric medical office in Greenville, NC. He has a BS from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and a Master's of Business Administration from East Carolina University. He is a member of Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church where he serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees. Nathan and his wife have one daughter.
Ely J. Perry, III is President of Perry Management, Inc., a commercial real estate firm in Kinston, NC. He is a licensed real estate broker, general contractor and is involved in wetlands and stream mitigation. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ely has worked for Perry Management since 1987. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Louisburg College, on the Board of Directors of the Lenoir Committee of 100 and is a member of the Rotary Club. He is happily married to his wife, Caroline and is the father of three children.
Chuck Stokes is a successful independent businessman, farmer and active church leader. Chuck recently completed his degree in religion at Mt. Olive College. Chuck, his wife Kim, and their two daughters reside in Ayden, N.C. Chuck currently serves on the Construction/Development committee.
Sandra is a 1977 graduate ofNorth Carolina State University with a BA in English. She remains active in the Beta Sigma Phi Service Sorority, and serves on a variety of administrative committees within her church. Sandra has over 15 years of experience in youth counseling. Sandra, her husband Keith, and their two daughters live in Kinston, N.C. Sandra currently serves on the Finance Committee of Son Set Ministries and is the Board Treasurer.
Stacey Stanley Wiggins is an attorney with the United States District Court in Greenville. Stacey graduated from Meredith College and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Law School. Stacey and her husband, Mike, live in Kinston with their two children and are members of Grace Fellowship Church in Kinston.
