Eric Morphis – Pastor of Vanceboro Global Methodist Church – Pitt County
I am married to Dr. Susan Morphis. Susan is a Veterinarian and owner of Willow Grove Animal Clinic in Farmville NC. We have 4 boys, Hunter, Spencer, Nathan and Sam. We love to travel to National Parks and hike as well as snow ski out West! We are both uniquely involved in Vanceboro church and Susan works with students at Farmville Presbyterian Church. We love the mission of the Refuge and see the lives changed for Christ as a result of its ministry.

Ely J. Perry III
Ely works for Perry Management, Inc., a regional real estate development and services firm. Ely has a B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has been involved with C12 (Christian Leadership Forum Group) since 2010 and faithfully serves his community through multiple boards where he lends his time. He also serves as treasurer of the First Presbyterian Church in Kinston. Outside of work, Ely enjoys all things outdoors including fishing, hunting, scuba diving, hiking, and spending time with his family. He is happily married to his wife, Caroline, and is the father of three children.
Kent Henderson
My wife, Mary, and I have 4 children and live in Kinston, NC. I serve as an associate pastor at Grace Fellowship Church in Kinston, and my wife works for Liberty University. I love leading God’s people in worship, riding motorcycles, seeing people grow in Christ, Krispy Kreme donuts, and a great PUN! Our church has joyfully partnered with the Refuge since it was started, and our children have all grown up loving going to the Refuge and have been impacted by its ministry. We can’t wait to see what God does next!

Mike Adkins – Pastor at Opendoor Church in Winterville, NC
Pastor Mike Adkins is originally from Detroit Michigan, and has served in ministry for over a decade. An avid sports fan, he loves all things Michigan and supports his favorite teams whenever he can. Happily married to his wife Gabrielle, they have three precious daughters: Londyn, Logyn, and Lakyn. Before serving in ministry, he worked as the Outreach Director for Congressman Greg Murphy in the House of Representatives. Pastor Mike serves as the Director of Small Groups and is one of the Teaching Pastors at Opendoor Church in Winterville, NC.
Anna Winn Beaman
I am married to Jack Beaman and we live in the Ormondsville community of Snow Hill where we serve in a variety of ways at Ormondsville Original Free Will Baptist Church. We have been a part of the Refuge since it was first established and are deeply blessed to have such a wonderful mission right here in our community. Working with the Refuge brings much joy to me as I feel and see God’s presence in everything that takes place there.
Danny Jackson
I am happily married to my wife Stephanie. We have 2 daughters, Jennifer and Jordan. Additionally we also have 3 wonderful grandchildren. We like to travel and enjoy investing in organizations that provide God-centered programs for youth.
